Setting collection date

To set the collection date, follow these steps:

  1. Click on your name in the top right
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under PAYMENTS & INVOICING, click on Payment settings

You will then see a field where you can set the direct debit collection date or membership fees collection date.

The collection date can only be set for monthly memberships. For weekly memberships, the date of purchase determines when collection will take place. In addition, keep in mind that it always takes several working days before a payment is received due to bank processing time. However, you can set up sending the payment a few days before the collection date, so that you can receive the payment earlier.

The collection date or collection date options are explained below:

Purchase date or first payment date

Based on the purchase date and set payment period (in weeks or months), the membership fees are collected automatically

Example:  Pete purchases a membership of 40 euros per month on 17 February. Pete will then pay 40 euros directly on February 17 (the first month), and then a sum of 40 euros will be collected automatically on March 17.

Please note:  there is an exception if one purchases a membership on the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month. If this is the case, the client will have to pay the remaining amount of the month (pro rata) to issue a mandate. The collection date will be the 1st of the month, on which the full amount of the new month will be debited.

1st and 15th of the month

It is also possible to determine when you want the collection to take place, so that the first payment is calculated pro rata with subsequent membership fees being automatically collected from, for example, the 1st of the month or the 15th of the month.

Example: Pete wants to purchase a membership of 30 euros per month on November 16 and you have set the collection date to the 1st of the month. Pete will then immediately pay 15 euros for the first period (after all: there are still 15 days left in November and the price is 30 euros / 30 days = 1 euro per day). Subsequently, on December 1, 30 euros will be automatically debited from Pete’s account for the month of December.
